Ohawu, May 27, 2024 – In a heartwarming display of community solidarity and support for education, the youth of Ohawu have come together to donate 36 mathematical sets to the Junior High School (JHS) 3 candidates of Ohawu R.C Basic School. This generous gesture aims to equip the students with essential tools for their upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

 

The donation ceremony, held at the school premises, present were JHS 3 students, Torgbui Kordor III, Mawunya Ahlidza (SMC Chairman), John Danyo (SMC Organiser), Samuel Gamor (Assembly member), Mr Badi (Opinion Leader), Richard Obunor Appiah (Head teacher) and Philomena Agozi . The atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as the youth presented the mathematical sets to the school. These sets, which include crucial instruments such as compasses, protractors, rulers, and set squares, are indispensable for the students' mathematics exams.

 

Empowering Education

The initiative was spearheaded by a group of young individuals from Ohawu who recognize the importance of education in shaping the future of their community. By providing these mathematical sets, the youth aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens on parents and ensure that every student has the necessary tools to perform well in their examinations.

 


Torgbui Kordor III highlighted the motivation behind the donation: "We believe that education is the key to a brighter future.
